The astronomers at Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array have observed the formation of an Earth like planet. Disks of dust and gas that surround young stars are the formation sites of planets. Situated around 175 light years away from the Earth, the star Hydrae has features which resembles those of earth. It might be quite possible that a more massive “super-Earth,” is beginning to form there.
