Shiva Thapa, the World Championships bronze-medalist became the first Indian boxer to make the qualify for this year's Olympics which is suppose to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He defeated Kazakhstan's Kairat Yeraliyev 3-0 in the semi-finals of the AIBA Asian and Oceanic Olympic qualifiers in Qian’an, China.
