Diego Dzodan, Facebook's vice president for Latin America, was detained in connection with a court order regarding WhatsApp data. A Facebook spokesperson said the detainment is "extreme.". The arrest was made for not cooperating with the police request to have an access to series of whatsapp messages which dealt with drug trafficking case. According to his Linkedin Profile, Diego joined the company last June.
