Diego Dzodan, Facebook's vice president for Latin America, was detained in connection with a court order regarding WhatsApp data. A Facebook spokesperson said the detainment is "extreme.". The arrest was made for not cooperating with the police request to have an access to series of whatsapp messages which dealt with drug trafficking case. The Geological Survey of India has identified 46 new coal blocks. Of this discovery, 12 coal blocks are located in West Bengal itself. GSI Director-General Harbans Singh said that these coal blocks will be soon handed over to the Coal Ministry. This statutory status will give a legal foundation to Aadhaar card so that it can be used for a number of developmental tasks.
