A Public Interest Litigtion was filed seeking directions to the United States and other states to use 'Bharat' instead of 'India' in all legal official and unofficial communications. The CJI Justice of India, TS Thakur said that such emotional issues should not be brought to the court in the name of public interest. Thos who like to call it India will call it by that name and those preferring to use Bharat will refer to it as Bharat.
