Some samples of Maggi were collected from Safebad in Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh. These samples were reported to be "sub standard" by District Chief Food Safety Officer Manoj Kumar. According to the tests conducted the ash content in Maggi Masala was found to be 1.85 per cent, which is higher than the permissible limit of one per cent.
